Ford Transit Custom Sport Overview

Have you been thinking about purchasing a new van for work? We know that there are plenty of options on the market right now, but we strongly urge you to consider purchasing the ford transit custom sport. It’s biggest rival is the Volkswagen Transporter T6, and while both vans have their advantages and disadvantages, but in the end, only one can come out on top. In this article, we are going to be looking at everything that you are going to need to know about the ford transit custom sport, and then you can make a decision as to whether it is something that you would like to purchase, or not.

What Is The Ford Transit Custom Sport?

The Ford Transit Custom Sport is a van that is largely used for working purposes. It is a variation of the ford transit custom, and therefore has a few differences from its cousin model. While they might not be massive changes in terms of the overall drive and performance of the vehicle, this doesn’t mean that they aren’t important to cater to the target audience that has been chosen.

Who Would Benefit From Having One?

Plenty of working people would benefit from having one. Of course, we are talking about people who complete jobs that require you use a van to transport things, rather than people who work in offices and therefore have no need for one. The people who would benefit most though are the small business owners who want to advertise their business. When you are advertising something that you have built, you want the best. You want to stand out from the crowd and have people notice what you are doing, and that is exactly what the ford transit custom sport allows you to do.

You can advertise the name of your company on the side of the van, which already has striped down the side for enhanced aesthetic purposes. If you want your business to stand out, then you’re going to have to put a little bit of extra effort into making it do so, and this van can help.

Also, if you know that you need a fair amount of space inside your van, then this is going to be an excellent choice. The ford transit custom sport has a lot of room on the inside, allowing for you to take large loads on each trip. But, even if there isn’t enough room on the inside, you can always add roof bars to the top in order to give yourself some extra room.

How Much Does It Cost?

You are going to be looking at around £30,000 for a Ford Transit Custom Sport. It’s hardly surprising that it is expensive when you consider the amount of features that it has, it has enough space without being too big, and really has everything that anyone could want from a van. It has a decent fuel economy for a van at 44.1mpg which will also add to the price, but it is worth every penny that you pay for it.

What Features Does It Have?

The Ford Transit Custom has a number of features that you might be interested in. We are going to talk about what is included in the interior separately down below, so this section is going to focus more on the practical features that you might find helpful. The first is that it has a tyre pressure monitoring system so that when the tyres are close to needing replacing, you will get an alert and you can sort this out quickly. Do this to avoid the potential of getting in any accidents on the road.

There is also lane-keeping technology with driver alert. Now some people don’t like this as there have been reports that sometimes it feels as though it is pushing you into a lane even when this is not where you want to be. You’re the one driving the vehicle, you know where the position is best right? But, other people have found this extremely helpful, so that one is up for debate and down to you whether it is a plus or a minus.

It also has front and rear parking sensors to make parking an easier experience. Parking a van is a difficult job, especially if you can’t always see what is going on. It’s for this reason that this feature is particularly useful.

The Interior

The Ford Transit Custom Sport has a fantastic layout. There has been more emphasis put on the width of the dashboard, rather than everything being squashed into one place. The previous model to this one had some criticisms about how everything was too close together and too fiddly, but this has been rectified to appease those who had problems before.

Ford has stated that the focus on the interior was inspired by the use of smartphones and technology nowadays. There are plenty of places to plug in your phone or tablet so that it can charge while you are on the move. There is also an eight-inch coloured touch screen included in this vehicle, and it is equipped with the Sync 3 infotainment system, like a lot of the other ford transit custom vans.

The main differences between the sport and the other models of the ford transit custom is the superior interior design, custom body kits and range of alloy wheel types.

It’s those little things that are more important to people who own small businesses and want to advertise this fact with their van that are going to benefit from this. For example, there are leather seat trimmings, rear bumper skirts, wheel-arch extensions and so on. It’s basically a way to look flashier than the others.

Hopefully, you have found this article helpful, and now have all the information that you need about the Ford Transit Custom sport. If you think that this would be a good van for you to purchase, then do it sooner rather than later. You don’t want to waste one more second without the van that you need to get things done efficiently!
