Ford Transit Custom Accessories

If you own a Ford Transit Custom, then you might want to look into accessories to make it more you. What we mean by this is that there are things that you can add to your vehicle to make it more practical depending on what you are using it for, and there are things that will enhance the way that it looks. Not everyone wants the standard look, which is why there are accessories that exist to give it that little something extra. In this article, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the accessories that you can purchase for your Ford Transit Custom.

Roof Bars

The first thing that we are going to look at is roof bars. These are a practical addition as they allow you to be able to load items on the top of the van. If the inside is full, then you can start putting things on the roof and securing them to the roof bars. These are a common addition as a lot of people use this van for work related activities. Just make sure that you have the right kind of equipment to tie the load on the roof down.

Mirror Covers

Another accessory that you may want to consider purchasing are mirror covers. You can purchase these to go on your wing mirror in order to protect them from a number of different things. For example, if someone knocks into your van and hits the wing mirror, it is less likely to crack or break in any way with the added support from the mirror cover.

You can buy these in a variety of materials such as chrome, or plastic. Depending on the level of cover you would like, you are going to need a sturdy material. Chrome is a lot more durable and less likely to crack than some of the other options on the market right now. Think carefully about what mirror covers you would like to buy, and consider how they look if this is important to you.

Side Steps

It might be the case that you want some side steps to make it easier to climb in and out of. Not everyone is going to need these but they are a fantastic addition if you have problems getting in and out. This doesn’t have to be due to height, it could be due to an injury in your back and hoisting yourself in and out of the van is only making things worse. Or, you might simply want to make your life a little easier after a long hard day of working.

There are a whole range of side steps that you can look at. There are different widths, different colours and different materials on offer. This is another thing that you should do your research on to ensure that you are getting what you need for the best possible price. You should also do your best to ensure that you get easy to fit ones so that you aren’t standing there trying to figure out how to attach them to your ford transit custom.

Dashboard Kits

If you want an accessory that’s purpose is to make the interior look better, then there are dashboard kits for you to do this. Just go and Google 'ford transit custom dashboard kits' to see what's on offer. These are different finishes available depending on what kind of look you are going for on the inside. Think carefully about this, because you’re the one who is going to have to look at it day in, day out.

Also though, the dashboard kits can be helpful when it comes to ensuring that the dashboard doesn’t get scratched or damaged in any way. If this does happen and you have a dashboard kit on it, at least the underneath isn’t damaged and you can purchase a new kit to start over.

Curtains

You might not want people looking inside your van and this is where curtains are going to come in handy. Just Google 'ford transit custom curtains'. There's alot on offer. If people can see inside your van, the chances of someone trying to break into your van increases especially if you have valuables on display.

Curtains won’t deter everyone if they are determined to get inside, but it will be enough to make most people ignore the van entirely and walk on by.

As well as this, curtains protect your privacy when you are inside the van.

Seat Protector

The final accessory that we are going to look at are seat protectors. Just Google 'ford transit custom seat protectors'. These are fantastic for a number of reasons. The first is that they are good to ensure that the actual seats aren’t getting dirty or damaged. Or, if the seats are already damaged, a seat protector will hide the damage and ensure that it doesn’t get any worse while you are using your ford transit custom. These are important if you know that there is always a lot of dirt or muck getting into your vehicle because if you don’t use them, eventually you may end up having to redo the upholstery.

Another thing that these are useful for is making the interior look better. Vans can be quite plain on the inside, so if you are hoping to spruce it up a little, this product is going to be a good way to do it. There are a range of different colours and patterns available, so you are sure to find something that you like the look of.
